Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and Public Speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Creative and Performing Arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities.
Trips and Excursions

Student Representative Council
Our Student Representative Council (SRC) plays a vital role in fostering a strong sense of community and leadership within our school. Committed to making a positive impact, the SRC has led numerous initiatives to raise funds for local charities. Their efforts have not only contributed to worthy causes but have also inspired greater student involvement and awareness. Additionally, the SRC has been instrumental in driving improvements within the school, organising projects that enhance the learning environment and promote a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. Through their passion and teamwork, our SRC continues to make meaningful contributions that enrich both our school and the wider community.
St George Performing Arts Festival (SPAF)
Each year, our students proudly participate in the St George Performing Arts Festival (SPAF) held at Sutherland, showcasing their talents and dedication in a vibrant celebration of the arts. Both our junior and senior dance groups take the stage, delivering captivating performances that highlight their hard work, creativity and teamwork. Participation in SPAF provides our students with valuable opportunities to develop their confidence, enhance their skills and connect with the broader performing arts community. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the enthusiasm they bring to this prestigious festival every year.
Maths Olympiad Competition
Our Stage 3 students participate annually in the APSMO Maths Olympiad Competition, providing a challenging and enriching opportunity for our high-potential mathematicians to excel. This prestigious competition encourages critical thinking, problem-solving and advanced mathematical skills beyond the regular curriculum, allowing our gifted students to explore complex concepts and demonstrate their abilities on a broader stage. Through their participation, these high-achieving students not only enhance their confidence and resilience but also inspire their peers to engage more deeply with mathematics.
Chess Club
Chess Club offers students an engaging extracurricular opportunity to develop strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment. Open to students of all skill levels, the club encourages friendly competition and collaboration, helping participants to build confidence and improve concentration. Through friendly matches, our Chess Club fosters a sense of community and intellectual challenge, enriching the overall school experience for all who take part.
PSSA - Interschool Sport Competitions
Our Grade 3-6 students enthusiastically participate in PSSA interschool sports competitions throughout the year, engaging in a range of exciting team sports such as cricket, OZ-Tag, basketball, netball and soccer. These competitions provide valuable opportunities for students to develop their athletic skills, teamwork and sportsmanship while representing our school with pride.
